Fr. Joseph Doyle was named pastor of Saint Anne's in August of 2005. Before that, he was pastor of Saint Francis Ridgefield Park, for 14 years. He was ordained in 1972 and for the next four years served in parishes in Jersey City and Edgewater. He then was assigned to Seton Hall University, where, over the next 14 years, he taught in the Sociology Department and acted as the Spiritual Director of the Saint Andrew's College Seminary. He then became a Priest Secretary to Archbishop Theodore McCarrick, before being assigned to parish work again in 1990.
Fr. Sam Monaco was ordained in 1988 after completing his studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University. He was assigned to Saint Anne Parish as a Parochial Vicar and to Bergen Catholic Boys High School as Campus Minister effective on July 1, 2019.
He was born in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in Maywood, NJ. He attended Paramus Catholic High School, Seton Hall University and Felician University. He holds a Master of Arts in Religious Education. He is also a professed member of the Secular Franciscan Order. Previously, he served at parishes in Mountainside, Jersey City, North Arlington, Saddle River, and Montclair. He served as Director of Religious Education for St. Anthony Parish in Hawthorne, NJ for several years. He also served as chaplain for Morristown Medical Center for three years.
Monsignor C. Anthony Ziccardi offers his part-time pastoral services to our parish, as well as the parish of Saint Francis in Ridgefield Park. He is presently Seton Hall University’s Vice President for Mission and Ministry and the Secretary Designee to the Board of Regents. He assumed both responsibilities in October 2006. He was born in Italy but grew up in New Jersey. Having graduated summa cum laude from Seton Hall with a B.A. in sociology and a Master of Divinity degree, he was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Newark in 1990. Subsequently, he received a licentiate degree in Sacred Scripture (S.S.L., magna cum laude) from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome and a doctoral degree in biblical theology (S.T.D., summa cum laude) from the Pontifical Gregorian University, also in Rome. As an academic, he has served as an assistant professor of biblical studies at Seton Hall’s Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology and as the school’s Associate Dean from 1998-2002. As a priest, he has served as personal secretary to the Archbishop of Newark and as pro-rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral Basilica in Newark. Currently, he continues to serve as a Censor Librorum for the Archdiocese. He also serves as spiritual director for a number of seminarians at Immaculate Conception Seminary. He was named a Chaplain to His Holiness Benedict XVI in March 2009.
Deacon Rich McGarry was ordained in 1977 and has been serving at Saint Anne Church since 1992. He previously served as a Deacon at Holy Name Church in Garfield. Rich holds a degree in Religious Education from Felician College where he currently teaches Religious Studies. He also holds a Ph.D. degree from Fordham University. His ministry includes religious education, spirituality, liturgy and social justice.
Laurie Hessman has been Saint Anne's Parish Secretary since 1997. A graduate of Berkeley Secretarial School, she has been an administrative assistant/secretary for many years. Her duties include managing the weekly parish bulletin, maintaining the parish calendar, and recording sacraments & Mass intentions. She is the first 'point of encounter' at the Rectory. Laurie and her husband Paul have been parishioners since 1986.

Nick Magarelli has been a parish administrative assistant since 2012. He graduated from Bergen Community College with a degree in business administration and retired from Verizon after 38 years of holding a variety of management positions. His current duties include managing the parish database, obtaining insurance certificates in conjunction with the Archdiocese, coordinating bulk mailings, and a multitude of other office projects.

Ali Curley has been a lifelong parishioner of Saint Anne. She graduated from Saint Anne School in 1996, and continued with a Catholic education at Immaculate Heart Academy (class of 2000) and the University of Scranton (class of 2004). She has a MA degree from New York University in Teaching English.

Claire Liberato is a graduate from Manhattan College, a college founded by the Christian Brothers, where she received a BA in Education. She has taught in Catholic, as well as public schools. Claire also attended Adelphi University, where she obtained certification in the Translation Certificate Program. Claire is currently attending Saint Catherine's Religious Education for Adults Program. She is the Faith Formation Administrative Assistant and the Safe Environment Coordination for Protecting God's Children (PGC) here at Saint Anne.

Alan Quinn began as Director of Music Ministry at Saint Anne in October 2006. He plays for all the weekend Masses, accompanying the Contemporary Choir every Saturday at 5:15 p.m. and the Adult Choir every Sunday at the 11:30 a.m. He also works with Eric and Laurianne at the 7:30 a.m. Sunday Mass and plays both trumpet and piano at the Family Mass every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The Choirs of Saint Anne run from September through June and new members are always welcome.
Alan has been a Choir Director/Organist in the Newark Archdiocese since 1983. In addition to his full time position at Saint Anne, Alan runs a band that plays at private parties and outdoor concerts (the Alan Quinn Orchestra) and also plays trumpet in New York, subbing on Broadway shows (most recently Kinky Boots with Wayne Brady; Gigi with Vanessa Hudgens; and Pippin with Lucie Arnaz.

Sherin has been the youth minister of St. Anne’s since 2018. She went to high school at Academy of the Holy Angels (2011) and then graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering graduate from New Jersey Institute of Technology (2015). She coordinates the BOLD Youth Ministry and BOLD Middle Ministry at St. Anne’s.
Loretta Stachiotti has served at Saint Anne School since 1982, first as a seventh and eighth grade teacher, and then as the principal since 1987. She received her BA in Elementary Education from Felician College in Lodi, and her MA in Administration and Supervision from Montclair State University. Since Loretta has been here, our school has won a number of awards and has received national recognition. She finds that being principal is a very rewarding and humbling experience, and she enjoys being a part of such a faith-filled community.
Karen Savacool has been the school secretary for Saint Anne School since 1998, when she also joined the parish. Her duties include processing registrations, managing tuition payments, and acting as a liaison for families and faculty. More importantly, she is a 'mom' to the schoolchildren, offering kind words and a smile when needed.
A life-long resident of Elmwood Park, Ellen Kovarik has worshipped at Saint Anne's for over 30 years. After retiring from working in various libraries for over 25 years, she now brings her expertise to the Elizabeth Ann Seton Faith Center Library.
A daily communicant, Ellen recently completed the 3-year course of Christian Foundations for Ministry (CFM). She is involved in Women's Cornerstone, Rosary Society, BTOR (Back To Our Roots), Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and a variety of other ministries.
Ellen happily invites parishioners (and guests) to visit after all the Sunday Masses from 8:30 - 1:30 on the lower level of the Rectory. Or stop by the Faith Center Table during our monthly 'Coffee Sunday' to peruse a small sampling of our collection.
